The top two searched for locations of 2021: Properties for sale in London & Cornwall

As we leave the “Happy New Year” well-wishes behind us and settle into our 2022 routines, we’ve loved taking the time to reflect on some of the biggest property trends of 2021. With home offices still hot on buyers’ lists, and outdoor space more important than ever, Rightmove recently revealed the top searched for locations of 2021 and interestingly, the top two hotspots battled it out with only a 3% difference in total search volumes. Much narrower than the gap in previous years, at 24% in 2020.

Whilst England's capital has reigned supreme yet again, it’s no surprise that the past year has resulted in many home buyers reconsidering their location, with the beautiful coastal landscapes and seaside towns of Cornwall successfully turning the heads of city dwellers looking to enjoy the sea breeze and extra space Cornwall has to offer. 

For those considering a move in 2022 and torn between the capital or Cornish coast, we’ve compiled a short list of some of our favourite properties currently for sale, located in the top two searched for locations of 2021.
