A Top-to-Bottom Renovation Turned This Cluttered House into a Beautiful Home
Peek this jaw-dropping transformation.

We've all seen those incredible home renovations, where a property has been transformed with a bit of TLC. What we're about to share is more than a lick of paint and some jazzy, well-placed rugs.
Take a peek at 2 Camperdown Street in Plymouth, where owner, Miss Sara Haigh, bought the property - and completely overhauled it. She saw a diamond in the rough, investing around £100,000, spanning over 3 years - thanks to care and, oh, lengthy roof issues (now sorted, thankfully!). Once you see the before pictures, you'll wonder what first attracted Sara to the property - we've decided that Sara is pretty brave to take this on.
Sara said, "I had an ambition to take on the renovation of a house for a number of years.... When I saw the house on Camperdown Street come up for sale I thought to myself “this could be the one”! Viewing was limited to 15 minutes before the auction and I soon realised that it hadn’t been enough."
"As we waded through the overgrown plant life it was clear that an enormous amount of work and investment was needed."
The original property was covered in black mould, grime, and rubbish. So much so that some floors can't be seen, let alone the potential. But Sara did see it - and you'll see the stunning transformation in the after pictures.
"Whilst we tried to do as much as possible within our abilities, it was clear that we needed help from tradesmen... Delays caused by problems with the roof probably added a year onto the whole project."
When we asked Sara about the house now, she said, "Now, after over three years, we have a unique house that would be ideal for a family. All the fundamental services have been completely replaced with new plumbing, electrics and gas central heating.
The kitchen is complete. There is a family bathroom, an en-suite shower room in the master bedroom, as well as a downstairs toilet. The three bedrooms are of a good size and the connected lounge and dining rooms are very spacious.
What was once described by a neighbour as a jungle, the outside space includes a large grassed area as well as an equally large patio.
It’s been a very challenging, though rewarding experience."
The property was bought for £145,000 via auction. And, after an incredible transformation, it is now listed for sale on our website.
