All I want for Christmas is….

When you’re looking to buy a new home, we all have our ‘wish-list’, our must-haves which without those, a house couldn’t possibly be a home. Whether it’s an idyllic house in the country with beautiful exposed beams, or a modern open plan apartment with spanning city views, we all have different visions of what the perfect home should look like.

We’ve taken a look at some of the more desirable and perhaps quirky features which have made it onto our lists to Santa this year.

Here are some of our favourites:

Kitchen Island

Who doesn’t love a kitchen island? This stunning four bedroom semi-detached property situated in Leicester ticks all the boxes when it comes to open plan kitchen and dining. Finished to show-home standards, it features a large kitchen island with additional seating, perfect for entertaining in style over the Christmas period.

Log Burner

If you’re longing for cosy nights by your log burning fire watching your favourite Christmas film, then Black Burn Lodge in Newcastleton could be on your list to Santa this year. Boasting four en-suite bedrooms, three reception rooms and set in a stunning location on the periphery of the Scottish borders, this beautiful home is definitely out of the ordinary! This bespoke designed country home has the perfect blend of ecologically friendly design, modern living and beautiful landscaping, all with a cosy, homely feel.

Garden Office

With working from home being on the agenda for many of us this year, it may be time to ditch the kitchen table and invest in a more permanent solution. For many, the use of a spare bedroom isn’t an option, so this 4 bedroom detached house in Birmingham offers the perfect solution. This home is beautiful both inside and out with show-home standard decor and a raised pergola set in a landscaped garden, perfect for separating your office space from the main house.

Exposed Ceiling Beams

If chocolate box cottages and country living are your style, then exposed beams set in a beautiful Grade II listed building will definitely make it to your wish-list. This semi-detached cottage is believed to be a 16th Century Inn and is set near to the market town of Sevenoaks. It is packed with character, with exposed ceiling and wall beams throughout, two Inglenook fireplaces and an eye-catching rear extension with a vaulted ceiling and decorative stained-glass windows.

Cinema Room

If you’re looking for that WOW factor, this 6 bedroom semi-detached property with it’s own cinema room will not disappoint! What more could you want for the ultimate Christmas movie night than your own cinema room complete with its own kitchen and set in a large beautiful garden? Oh…and this stunning home also boasts its own contained annex, Italian marbled bathrooms and is finished to an impeccable standard.
