Respecting the Thistle for the Six Nations

Following our successful partnership during the Autumn internationals; we are proud to extend our support to the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU); for the Guinness Six Nations as the back-of-shirt sponsors of the Scotland national team.

As back of shirt sponsors, we wanted to ensure we respected the team colours. The purple on the Scotland team strip represents the thistle, which is the national flower of Scotland. The thistle has been an important symbol of Scottish heraldry for over 500 years. We’re proud to support Scotland’s heritage so for the very first time in Purplebricks' history we have changed our brand colour purple out of respect to the jersey.

Changing our brand’s colours is a momentous occasion and reminiscent of the pioneering Coca Cola ‘Club Colours’ initiative, where they changed the colours of the Coca-Cola logo for the first time in history, to those of the 72 Football League clubs.

Ed Hughes, CMO of Purplebricks, said:

“We’re proud to support Gregor Townsend and the Scotland Rugby team and we look forward to working together in this partnership for the Six Nations. We share common values and a shared ambition to continually strive to improve in all areas; and challenge the status quo to ensure a better outcome for our customers. Scotland have got off to a sterling start to the tournament and we look forward to cheering them from the stands over the coming weeks”
