Meet The Team: Oliver Ball

We're in Chester for today's Meet The Team interview. Get to know Local Property Expert, Oliver Ball.

Simon: What’s great about Chester, Oliver?

Oliver: For a compact city, Chester is bursting at the seams with history.  From the Roman walls and gardens dating back almost 2000 years, to the stunning cathedral and medieval ‘rows’ which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. You can’t go far in Chester without seeing something historically significant (even our racecourse is the oldest in the country).

Simon: What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

Oliver: My passions are travelling, music and animals, so it would have to be either a travel writer, professional guitarist or a zoo keeper.

Simon: If you had to choose your last meal, what would it be?

Oliver: Wow, that’s a difficult one. I recently came back from an 8 month trip backpacking around the world and the thing I missed most during that time was Marmite, so I guess it would have to be anything involving that.

Simon: What would you name the autobiography of your life?

Oliver: O. Balls.

Simon: What’s your favourite property on our listings?

Oliver: Black Diamond Park, Chester. Well positioned, four bedrooms and within close proximity to city centre. Currently valued at £246,000.

Simon: What advice would you give sellers?

Oliver: As difficult as it may be, listen to honest feedback from viewers and act on it. If there is something putting buyers off, it’s much better to do something about it rather than it keep being an obstacle.

Simon: How would you describe the culture at Purplebricks?

Oliver: Unlike other estate agents I have worked with Purplebricks truly puts its customers first. They understand that a successful business and financial reward is a bi-product of providing exceptional customer service.

Simon: Now for some quick fire questions......Batman or Superman?

Oliver: Batman.

Simon: Indiana Jones or Han Solo?

Oliver: Han Solo.

Simon: Red or White Wine?

Oliver: Red.

Simon: Eastenders or Corrie?

Oliver: Eastenders.

Simon: What’s the last film you watched?

Oliver: True Story.

Simon: Winter or Summer?

Oliver: Summer.

Simon: Beatles or The Rolling Stones?

Oliver: The Stones.

Simon: Coffee or Tea?

Oliver: Tea.

Simon: And finally...what’s your go to karaoke song?

Oliver: Love Shack by the B52s if the wife is around to do the female vocal.  If not, Jumping Jack Flash by The Stones.
