At Purplebricks, we back up our claims with facts. We regularly analyse both our own internal performance data and independent industry data to give a complete, transparent picture of our place in the market.

That means whether it’s how quickly we sell homes, how satisfied our customers are, or how our market share compares to others, we’re always committed to being open about the evidence behind our statements. As it should be, right?

So whether it’s claims about what we’ve done or how we compare to the market, here’s what you need to know.

“We’re the largest UK estate agent by market share.”

Independent, whole-market data from Zoopla, tracking weekly market share of the UK’s largest estate agents (Purplebricks, William H Brown, Connells, Hunters, Savills, and Yopa) from January 2024 to December 2024, shows:

• Purplebricks achieved the highest average market share across the year (2.33%).

• Purplebricks led in the majority of individual weeks, more often than any competitor.

• Even in weeks where Purplebricks were not number one, we consistently ranked in the top 2.

This means that in 2024, Purplebricks was the largest estate agent by market share in the UK.

“We’ve sold over £84bn worth of properties.”

This is the combined sale price of all Strike properties (sold from June 2016 onwards) and Purplebricks properties (sold from June 2014 to July 2025). Purplebricks’ data is based on prices at SSTC, updated where Purplebricks has been made aware of a change in price between SSTC and completion. Strike’s data is based on price at completion.

“We’ve sold over 328,000 homes.”

This is the number of homes with a completed status by Strike properties (from September 2016 onwards) and by Purplebricks properties (from June 2014 to July 2025). For full transparency, Purplebricks sold over 287,000 properties during that period, and Strike sold around 43,000.

“More 5* Trustpilot reviews than any other estate agent.”

As of August 2025, Purplebricks had 113,193 5-star reviews on Trustpilot (we’re pretty proud of that). The agent next in line had 20,020 5-star reviews.

“9 out of 10 customers recommend.”

This is based on NPS data collected from Purplebricks’ customers between 1st August 2023 and 10th November 2023. The data finds that 94.79% of customers scored 7 or above under the basic NPS framework — and are therefore likely to recommend us to their family and friends. We’ve rounded down the 94.79% to “9 out of 10”, for clarity.
