I joined the industry in June 1987, becoming a Branch Manager at the age of 23 before progressing to Area Manager for an independent estate agent. I joined an agent in South East London in 2001 and by the time I left in 2008 I was responsible for running a number of offices. I have lived in Kent for nearly 20 years. Having local knowledge and experience is so important when it comes to selling and letting property and this has really helped me over the years.

I initially dealt with Dean McCluskey…I initially dealt with Dean McCluskey who had already sold two previous properties. Dean referred me to one of his sales team Daniel Pugh who took over from Dean and made the whole process stress free. His knowledge of the current market, especially during Covid, was invaluable. Nonetheless I sold STC within the month when another estate agent failed miserably within a year. I was truly impressed with their professionalism, efficiency and obvious knowledge of todays market. There was no hyped up sales jargon just straightforward talking and advice. Would not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend both Purplebricks and their Sales Advisor Daniel Pugh. Worth mentioning, Daniel even renegotiated the sale price for me on his day off which I was so grateful for and still feel guilty about today. But how refreshing was that. Excellent experience....This was a first for us, we normally travel the agent in the High Street route, but having logged on to Purple Bricks, the process was so easy. You do get to meet an actual agent for the valuation, and after that it’s all communication through the internet, which if you re busy, it’s great! There is also a sense of control, you can manage the bookings for viewers, change appointments if it doesn’t suit, confirm their attendance and also get their feedback. The latter is excellent because you can see immediately if there are issues and the agent assigned to your property will communicate with you if there is a problem.
Offers can be tabled by prospective buyers too, because when they book to view, you also get their details, and their position.
All in all, we actually sold our house in three days, although we didn’t accept the offer until 3 weeks as our buyers needed to sell. It didn’t stop us having viewings.....
All in all, this was a great process, made me feel good about what we were selling, we had almost immediate responses from our agent when necessary, and because it’s purple bricks we ve saved over half the cost of a High Street Agent...Read more
