Highly recommend and would use againA big thank you to Darren Hampton who looks after East Devon for all his help with the sale of our house. He took beautiful photos, explained how best to conduct viewings (we could've paid a small amount extra to have him do them but wanted to meet them to be honest!). He definitely did his fair share of leg work near the end to get the sale over the line when there were issues further down the chain. He was a call away if needed for some calm and sound advice, but would leave you alone if he wasn't needed.
The fees with Purplebricks are transparent and we liked that flexibility that we could come off the market and re market at a later date if we wanted. (We paid upfront, we knew we intended to move at some point in the next 12 months, it meant we could use our own solicitors and ultimately cost less).
The agents we bought our new house from moaned endlessly about us using Purplebricks, claiming Purplebricks are awful. They called me twice a week, then every day, then twice a day. The pressure they put on me was ridiculous, in the end I asked them not to call any more and to put everything to our poor solicitor. All the issues were at the very bottom of the chain, there was nothing myself or my solicitor could do apart from chase- which we were already doing. So, if you think another agent is going to add value for the extra money, that's not always the case. Darren did just as much as the agents we have used before, and we saved about £2.5k on the fees. This is our second experience of using…This is our second experience of using Purple Bricks and have had an excellent professional service.
