To find Lower Chesters from the east, travel west on the A69 to Hexham and continue straight over the A69 roundabout on the outskirts of Hexham. Take the next right onto the A6079 signposted Acomb. Follow the road through Acomb and Wall until you reach the crossroads with the B6318 (Military Road). Turn left at the crossroads towards Chollerford and cross the bridge. At the roundabout immediately after the bridge turn left. Lower Chesters is 300 yards on your right.
